Effective March 25th, 2017 in accordance with new United States government regulations, all passengers travelling on United States-bound flights from some countries in the Middle East and Africa are prohibited from carrying electronic devices larger than a smartphone or exceeding 16 x 9.3 x 1.5 cm (h x w x d) in the cabin of the aircraft.

The electronics ban includes but is not limited to:
- Laptops
- Tablets
- E-readers
- Cameras
- Portable DVD players
- Electronic game units larger than a smartphone
- Travel printers/scanners
Some devices are excluded from this ban:
- Smartphones and mobile phones
- Head phones
- Medical devices which are required for the flight (including breast pumps)
- Extended power supply units (such as power banks)
